The “Grumpy Mole” Dream

Modern scientific research prides itself on being empirical. The word ’empirical’ originates from the Greek word ’empeirikos,’ which means ‘experienced.’

So, in effect, when it is stated that that scientific ‘facts’ are derived from empirical research this means that what is ‘experienced’ is a valid source of knowledge about the true nature of the world around us.

Well last night I “experienced” a very peculiar dream in which I was debating with a friend as to how one could possibly know if a mole was grumpy or not. In the logic of dreams this seemed a perfectly reasonable discussion.

On awaking the dream was remembered and I puzzled about its meaning.

A few hours later, on a beautiful ramble through the Surrey Hills we arrived at the village of Brockham. As we walked through the village I noticed a really attractive pub. I walked over to check out its name ……..

“The Grumpy Mole”!!!!!!!!!!!!

Precognitive dream or simply a coincidence?

Whatever, this was a very weird ‘experience’…….. and one that J.W, Dunne would have the answer to!
